My Favorite Songs at 24

My annual playlist project has been going on longer than I've had this blog, so here are my favorite songs from my 24th birthday. Back then I wasn't matching number of songs to the years, so I had a fun little rummage through about 80 songs to find these 24. A few special shout outs: One dominant theme was re-discovering bands from the past. Ghostland Observatory has been a consistent source of unique sounds for me ever since I saw them at ACL freshman year. Around the same time, my brother was introducing me to Tally Hall, who have been a secret musical gem up my sleeve ever since. Honeycut is some kind of political, electro-funk group I found back in high school (when Barnes&Nobel was THE place to discover music.) There are also plenty of discoveries from this year: Woodkid was played non-stop through my first, post-college, (*bay area so really not that bad*) winter. I also found out about St. Vincent after at least a year of obsessing over her collaboration with David Byrne.
